How do you brush a toddlers teeth.. seriously, how? Have you tried brushing a toddlers teeth before? It can be quite the challenge. Here is what I do: - Get really excited and making brushing my teeth the coolest thing in the world. - Then I switch to brushing my daughters teeth as best I can. - Rinse the toothbrush and then give it to my daughter. - Usually she chews on the toothbrush for a bit which also cleans her teeth at least a little bit. I find the biggest help is just getting REALLY excited about the whole thing! What do you do with your toddler, or whats worked best in the past?

Eating healthy on a budget... can it be done, and if so how? Disclaimer: This post is really my opinion on the subject rather than a how to. I always have high hopes for myself and my family that we will all exercise, eat healthy, and be merry, but then there is real life which sometimes is not so easy. Still I want to at least try, and in my opinion that is the key. All you can do is try, and splurging on those strawberries is better than buying those boxed strawberry shortcakes. My little effort this week to a better meal for my family was homemade bread! Its not that hard, its cheaper than you'd think, and way more satisfying. My favorite part though is that the bread slice does not flop over in your hand like those cheap white bread bands. The recipe that I used is as follows: Baking & Spices 1 package Active dry yeast 6 1/4 cups All-purpose flour 1 tbsp Salt 3 tbsp Sugar Oils & Vinegar 2 tbsp Canola oil Liquids 2-1/4 cups warm water I also sprinkled a little basil over the top right before I baked it. Another part that maybe I didn't make clear earlier in the post is that homemade bread is way healthier! Look at the ingredients in this basic b**** of a bread loaf, and then look at my recipe. What I'm trying to say is that if you put in the effort to eat healthy it is possible! Not every single thing you eat will be grass fed, organic, low fat, gluten free, non homogenized, vegan, or whatever you consider healthy, but it will make a difference in the well being of your body. So whether it is homemade bread, pizza, mac & cheese, or maybe just a salad with your own fresh veggies put in the effort to make that healthy difference in your body and life. After all our bodies are our temples and we should take care of them! Let me know in a comment below whats your favorite way to eat healthy! Real quick post I had to share we just witnessed a beautiful rainbow right outside our doorway! Sometimes it is hard to live in a rural area but this is definitely one of the great benefits. |
